Hey friends! One of my favorite design challenges is styling a room around a single standout piece. Whether it’s a bold sofa, a vintage rug, or an oversized piece of art, a strong focal point can anchor the entire space and make decorating feel effortless.
Today I’m sharing my step-by-step approach to building a room that feels cohesive, personal, and beautifully balanced around that one hero item.
Choosing Your Statement Piece
The foundation of this approach is selecting something you genuinely love. It could be a vibrant armchair, a sculptural light fixture, or an antique cabinet. The key is emotional connection — this piece should spark joy every time you see it.
